Billcon N-120A – Heavy-Duty Professional Currency Counter

For businesses, retail stores, and financial institutions handling significant cash volumes, manual counting is a costly source of human error and operational lag. The Billcon N-120A is a professional-grade, high-volume currency counter designed to transform your cash-handling process. Engineered with the durability of a bank-vault machine, the N-120A offers a "workhorse" solution for organizations that require 100% accuracy and long-term reliability.

The Billcon Advantage: Precision & Durability

The N-120A is globally recognized by financial institutions as one of the most reliable friction counters ever built. It provides immediate, quantifiable advantages for your operation:

  • Commercial-Grade Metal Construction: Unlike lightweight plastic counters, the N-120A features heavy-duty internal components specifically engineered for continuous, multi-shift use. This machine is built to provide reliable service for years, even in demanding casino or bank vault environments.
  • High-Speed Operational Performance: Process large batches of currency rapidly to reduce labor costs. The N-120A is designed to handle "street quality" bills with ease, minimizing the jams and feeding errors common in lower-end machines.
  • Eliminate Reconciliation Errors: Trusted by banks worldwide, Billcon’s precision feeding system eliminates the costly discrepancies inherent in manual counting, ensuring your end-of-day reconciliation is swift and perfect every time.
  • User-Centric Design: Featuring a clear, easy-to-read digital display and intuitive controls, the N-120A allows any staff member to begin processing cash with zero learning curve.

Versatile Counting for Demanding Environments

The Billcon N-120A is the ideal investment for organizations where throughput and robust construction are non-negotiable:

  • Retail Chains & Supermarkets: Expedite closing procedures and ensure fast, accurate till reconciliation across multiple registers.
  • Banks & Credit Unions: Maintain high standards of accuracy and high-speed throughput in teller and back-office operations.
  • Casinos & Gaming: Handle extreme daily cash volumes with the uncompromising reliability of a machine designed for constant use.
  • Large Corporate Offices: Efficiently process high-volume deposits and balance company funds with industrial-grade speed.

1. Does a regular bill counter tell me the total dollar value?

No. A standard bill counter counts the number of pieces (quantity), not the denomination. For example, if you put in ten $5 bills and ten $20 bills, the machine will tell you there are "20 bills." You must pre-sort your money by denomination to calculate the total value. (If you need the machine to automatically calculate value for mixed stacks, check out our Currency Discriminators.)

2. How does the machine detect fake money?
Standard counters use two primary methods:

UV (Ultraviolet): It checks the paper’s reaction to UV light. Real US currency paper does not glow, but many counterfeit papers do.
MG (Magnetic): It scans for the magnetic ink used in the printing of authentic currency.

3. Can I count items other than currency?s.

Many of our regular bill counters can count other paper items of similar size, such as vouchers, tickets, or coupons, provided they fall within the machine's thickness and size specification

4. What is the "Batch" function used for?

The Batch function is a favorite for retail managers. It allows you to preset a number (like 25, 50, or 100). The machine will count exactly that many bills and then pause, allowing you to remove the stack and put a rubber band or paper strap around it for a bank deposit.

5. Why is my counter "double-feeding" or "jamming"?

This usually happens for one of three reasons:

Thickness Adjustment: There is a small tension screw on the back. If your bills are very new (thin) or very old (thick), you may need to adjust it slightly.
Dirty Sensors: Dust from paper currency can coat the sensors. A quick blast of compressed air usually fixes this.
Poor Loading: Ensure the bills are squared up and placed flat into the hopper for the smoothest feed.
