Semacon S-1015 – Professional Compact Currency Counter with UV Detection

The Semacon S-1015 is a high-performance, compact machine engineered for businesses, banks, and cash handling centers that require fast, accurate, and secure cash management. This reliable counter streamlines daily operations by combining efficient high-speed counting with essential UV counterfeit detection. Known for Semacon's legendary "Bank-Grade" durability, the S-1015 is designed to provide consistent, error-free performance even in the most demanding environments.

Precision Counting & Essential Security

The S-1015 is built for reliability and efficiency, ensuring your back-office operations run smoothly without the bulk of a larger machine:

  • High-Speed Productivity: Process cash at a rapid speed of up to 900 bills per minute. This velocity ensures a significant reduction in time spent on manual counting, leading to higher staff productivity and quicker end-of-day reconciliation.
  • Integrated UV Counterfeit Detection: Safeguard your business against financial loss with built-in Ultraviolet (UV) sensors. This system automatically verifies security features embedded in legitimate banknotes, instantly flagging suspicious currency.
  • Advanced Error Control: The S-1015 features precision-engineered technology to detect double notes, half notes, and chain notes, virtually eliminating counting errors and discrepancies.
  • Organized Batching: Utilize the Batch Function to preset specific note quantities. This is perfect for quickly bundling bills for bank deposits or preparing exact starting floats for cash registers.

Compact "Bank-Grade" Engineering

Semacon is renowned for its rugged construction, and the S-1015 brings that industrial strength to your countertop:

  • Space-Saving Design: With its compact dimensions ($9" \times 11.5" \times 5.5"$), the S-1015 fits easily into crowded retail counters, small back offices, or teller stations where space is at a premium.
  • Industrial-Strength Durability: Despite its light weight ($10\text{ lbs}$), the S-1015 features the heavy-duty components Semacon is known for, ensuring a long service life and high ROI.
  • Universal Power Compatibility: Supporting 115–230V, this machine is ready for global use and adaptable to various professional environments.
  • User-Friendly Interface: An intuitive control panel and high-visibility display ensure that any employee can operate the machine with 100% accuracy and zero training time.

1. Does a regular bill counter tell me the total dollar value?

No. A standard bill counter counts the number of pieces (quantity), not the denomination. For example, if you put in ten $5 bills and ten $20 bills, the machine will tell you there are "20 bills." You must pre-sort your money by denomination to calculate the total value. (If you need the machine to automatically calculate value for mixed stacks, check out our Currency Discriminators.)

2. How does the machine detect fake money?
Standard counters use two primary methods:

UV (Ultraviolet): It checks the paper’s reaction to UV light. Real US currency paper does not glow, but many counterfeit papers do.
MG (Magnetic): It scans for the magnetic ink used in the printing of authentic currency.

3. Can I count items other than currency?s.

Many of our regular bill counters can count other paper items of similar size, such as vouchers, tickets, or coupons, provided they fall within the machine's thickness and size specification

4. What is the "Batch" function used for?

The Batch function is a favorite for retail managers. It allows you to preset a number (like 25, 50, or 100). The machine will count exactly that many bills and then pause, allowing you to remove the stack and put a rubber band or paper strap around it for a bank deposit.

5. Why is my counter "double-feeding" or "jamming"?

This usually happens for one of three reasons:

Thickness Adjustment: There is a small tension screw on the back. If your bills are very new (thin) or very old (thick), you may need to adjust it slightly.
Dirty Sensors: Dust from paper currency can coat the sensors. A quick blast of compressed air usually fixes this.
Poor Loading: Ensure the bills are squared up and placed flat into the hopper for the smoothest feed.
