The Royal EBC-1000 Bill Counter is a high-performance, professional currency counting solution specifically designed for businesses and financial institutions that regularly process mixed denominations. Combining rapid counting with powerful Value Discrimination and a robust 4-Phase Counterfeit Detection system, the EBC-1000 ensures maximum accuracy, efficiency, and security in your cash handling operations.

Key Benefits & Ideal Users

The core advantage of the EBC-1000 is its ability to automatically count a stack of mixed-denomination bills (e.g., $1s, $5s, $20s) and display the total monetary value—not just the note quantity. This eliminates manual sorting and calculation errors, dramatically accelerating cash reconciliation. The machine operates at a high speed of up to 1,200 bills per minute, optimizing throughput during peak times.

Security is paramount, featuring a 4-Phase Counterfeit Detection system utilizing UV (Ultraviolet), MG (Magnetic), IR (Infrared), and DD (Dimension Detection) technology. This comprehensive security check provides superior defense against fraudulent currency. Furthermore, Advanced Error Detection flags chained, double, and half bills, ensuring every count is precise.

Ideal for:

  • Financial Institutions: For tellers and vaults requiring fast, verified totals of mixed-denomination deposits.
  • Large Retailers & Cash Centers: Where accurately calculating the monetary value of large, unsorted cash receipts is a daily task.
  • Businesses: Any operation that seeks to eliminate human error and enhance security when preparing deposits or managing multiple cash drawers.

Use Cases: Precision & Efficiency

  1. Instant Value Tally: Simply place unsorted cash into the 500-bill hopper, and the EBC-1000 instantly provides a verified total value, streamlining end-of-day processes.
  2. High-Security Verification: The 4-phase detection system ensures that while counting at high speed, the machine simultaneously protects against multiple forms of counterfeiting, maintaining financial integrity.
  3. Organized Batching: Use the Batch Counting function to quickly sort and group bills into preset sizes, making it easy to prepare floats, ATM fillers, or armored car pickups efficiently.
  4. Quiet Integration: The machine's low-noise operation and compact design allow it to integrate smoothly into any professional workspace, from a busy retail counter to a quiet bank office.

1. Does a regular bill counter tell me the total dollar value?

No. A standard bill counter counts the number of pieces (quantity), not the denomination. For example, if you put in ten $5 bills and ten $20 bills, the machine will tell you there are "20 bills." You must pre-sort your money by denomination to calculate the total value. (If you need the machine to automatically calculate value for mixed stacks, check out our Currency Discriminators.)

2. How does the machine detect fake money?
Standard counters use two primary methods:

UV (Ultraviolet): It checks the paper’s reaction to UV light. Real US currency paper does not glow, but many counterfeit papers do.
MG (Magnetic): It scans for the magnetic ink used in the printing of authentic currency.

3. Can I count items other than currency?s.

Many of our regular bill counters can count other paper items of similar size, such as vouchers, tickets, or coupons, provided they fall within the machine's thickness and size specification

4. What is the "Batch" function used for?

The Batch function is a favorite for retail managers. It allows you to preset a number (like 25, 50, or 100). The machine will count exactly that many bills and then pause, allowing you to remove the stack and put a rubber band or paper strap around it for a bank deposit.

5. Why is my counter "double-feeding" or "jamming"?

This usually happens for one of three reasons:

Thickness Adjustment: There is a small tension screw on the back. If your bills are very new (thin) or very old (thick), you may need to adjust it slightly.
Dirty Sensors: Dust from paper currency can coat the sensors. A quick blast of compressed air usually fixes this.
Poor Loading: Ensure the bills are squared up and placed flat into the hopper for the smoothest feed.
