The Cassida 6600 UV/MG is a powerful, business-grade currency counter engineered for professional cash-handling environments. Featuring exclusive ValuCount™ Technology and robust dual-security systems, the 6600 UV/MG is designed to process mixed-denomination bills quickly and securely, making it the ultimate solution for retail, banking, and any operation with high cash volume.
Key Benefits & Ideal Users
The core strength of the Cassida 6600 UV/MG is its ability to deliver true value counting. Using ValuCount™ Technology, the machine instantly calculates the total monetary value of an entire mixed stack of bills (e.g., $5s, $10s, $20s), eliminating the need for sorting and manual calculation. This process, coupled with a rapid speed of up to 1,400 bills per minute, maximizes cash management efficiency.
Security is non-negotiable, which is why this model features advanced UV (Ultraviolet) and MG (Magnetic) counterfeit detection. This dual security check reliably identifies suspicious notes, including those with missing magnetic ink or UV security threads, ensuring financial integrity.
Ideal for:
- Banks and Credit Unions: For quick, verifiable counting of customer deposits and vault reconciliation of mixed-denomination batches.
- Large Retailers & Cash Centers: Requiring high-volume throughput and accurate value reporting across many transactions.
- Any Business: That needs to eliminate counting errors, reduce shrinkage, and streamline end-of-day reconciliation.
Use Cases: Streamlined, Secure Cash Flow
- High-Volume, Uninterrupted Counting: The industry-leading 400-note hopper and 300-note stacker capacity allow for extended, continuous counting sessions, drastically minimizing interruptions and speeding up large deposits.
- Instant Value Tally: Simply dump a disorganized stack of bills into the hopper and receive an instant, error-free total dollar amount, saving valuable labor time.
- Advanced Error Control: The machine alerts operators to counting issues like double notes, half notes, and jams, ensuring the final count is always 100% accurate and reliable.
- Quiet, Professional Operation: Its compact size ($11" \times 10.5" \times 8.1"$) and quiet operation fit seamlessly into teller stations or retail counters without creating noise disruption.

Money Counters

1. Does a regular bill counter tell me the total dollar value?
No. A standard bill counter counts the number of pieces (quantity), not the denomination. For example, if you put in ten $5 bills and ten $20 bills, the machine will tell you there are "20 bills." You must pre-sort your money by denomination to calculate the total value. (If you need the machine to automatically calculate value for mixed stacks, check out our Currency Discriminators.)
2. How does the machine detect fake money?
Standard counters use two primary methods:
UV (Ultraviolet): It checks the paper’s reaction to UV light. Real US currency paper does not glow, but many counterfeit papers do.
MG (Magnetic): It scans for the magnetic ink used in the printing of authentic currency.
3. Can I count items other than currency?s.
Many of our regular bill counters can count other paper items of similar size, such as vouchers, tickets, or coupons, provided they fall within the machine's thickness and size specification
4. What is the "Batch" function used for?
The Batch function is a favorite for retail managers. It allows you to preset a number (like 25, 50, or 100). The machine will count exactly that many bills and then pause, allowing you to remove the stack and put a rubber band or paper strap around it for a bank deposit.
5. Why is my counter "double-feeding" or "jamming"?
This usually happens for one of three reasons:
Thickness Adjustment: There is a small tension screw on the back. If your bills are very new (thin) or very old (thick), you may need to adjust it slightly.
Dirty Sensors: Dust from paper currency can coat the sensors. A quick blast of compressed air usually fixes this.
Poor Loading: Ensure the bills are squared up and placed flat into the hopper for the smoothest feed.
