The Royal RBC-ED250 Bill Counter is a high-performance, professional-grade machine designed for businesses and banks that handle complex cash flow. Integrating both Value Detection for mixed denominations and comprehensive UV, MG, and IR counterfeit security, the RBC-ED250 delivers the ultimate solution for fast, accurate, and secure currency management in high-volume environments.

Key Benefits & Ideal Users

The RBC-ED250 provides a significant leap in efficiency by offering Value Detection. This technology automatically identifies the denomination of each bill and calculates the total monetary value of an unsorted stack, eliminating the time-consuming need for manual presorting and calculation. Its high operating speed of up to 1,500 bills per minute ensures maximum throughput, drastically reducing operational time.

Security is guaranteed by the integrated triple-phase detection system (UV, MG, IR). This robust security checks for magnetic ink, ultraviolet properties, and infrared characteristics simultaneously, offering a comprehensive defense against counterfeit currency.

Ideal for:

  • Financial Institutions: Tellers and back-office staff who need to quickly verify and total customer deposits containing mixed denominations.
  • Large Retailers and Hospitality: Businesses that process high volumes of cash and need accurate, verified total values quickly for daily reconciliation.
  • Cash Centers: Operations that require the highest speed and capacity coupled with automated value calculation.

Use Cases: Precision, Speed, and Security

  1. Instant Mixed-Batch Totaling: Eliminate manual errors by placing unsorted cash directly into the hopper. The RBC-ED250 provides an immediate, verified dollar total.
  2. High-Volume, Continuous Counting: The massive 500-bill hopper capacity supports uninterrupted operation, minimizing reloads and maximizing efficiency during the busiest cash processing times.
  3. Comprehensive Security Shield: Every bill is subject to simultaneous UV, MG, and IR checks at high speed, ensuring that no fraudulent bills are accidentally counted as genuine.
  4. Efficient Cash Preparation: Use the Batch Function to quickly organize precise monetary amounts or note quantities for cash register floats, ATM replenishment, or specific deposit bundles.

1. Does a regular bill counter tell me the total dollar value?

No. A standard bill counter counts the number of pieces (quantity), not the denomination. For example, if you put in ten $5 bills and ten $20 bills, the machine will tell you there are "20 bills." You must pre-sort your money by denomination to calculate the total value. (If you need the machine to automatically calculate value for mixed stacks, check out our Currency Discriminators.)

2. How does the machine detect fake money?
Standard counters use two primary methods:

UV (Ultraviolet): It checks the paper’s reaction to UV light. Real US currency paper does not glow, but many counterfeit papers do.
MG (Magnetic): It scans for the magnetic ink used in the printing of authentic currency.

3. Can I count items other than currency?s.

Many of our regular bill counters can count other paper items of similar size, such as vouchers, tickets, or coupons, provided they fall within the machine's thickness and size specification

4. What is the "Batch" function used for?

The Batch function is a favorite for retail managers. It allows you to preset a number (like 25, 50, or 100). The machine will count exactly that many bills and then pause, allowing you to remove the stack and put a rubber band or paper strap around it for a bank deposit.

5. Why is my counter "double-feeding" or "jamming"?

This usually happens for one of three reasons:

Thickness Adjustment: There is a small tension screw on the back. If your bills are very new (thin) or very old (thick), you may need to adjust it slightly.
Dirty Sensors: Dust from paper currency can coat the sensors. A quick blast of compressed air usually fixes this.
Poor Loading: Ensure the bills are squared up and placed flat into the hopper for the smoothest feed.
