Semacon S-1225 – Professional High-Speed Counter with UV & MG Detection

The Semacon S-1225 is a premium cash handling solution meticulously designed for banks, businesses, and financial institutions requiring maximum speed, precision, and dual-layer security. Built for demanding, high-volume environments, the S-1225 ensures fast, accurate, and secure currency management. Known as the professional standard for "Bank-Grade" equipment, this machine is engineered to handle massive workloads while maintaining total financial integrity.

Elite Velocity & Dual-Check Fraud Defense

The S-1225 is designed to eliminate back-office bottlenecks by offering the highest processing speeds and security screening available in a tabletop unit:

  • Selectable Industrial Speeds: Tailor your performance with three selectable counting rates: 800, 1,200, or a staggering 1,600 notes per minute. This top-tier speed allows you to process vast amounts of cash in seconds, maximizing staff productivity.
  • Dual-Layer Security Shield: Protect your bottom line with simultaneous screening of every banknote:
    • UV (Ultraviolet): Verifies the authentic security threads and paper properties.
    • MG (Magnetic): Scans for specialized magnetic ink patterns required for bank-level verification.
  • Precision Error Identification: Built-in Smart-Sensors instantly flag double bills, half-notes, and chain notes, ensuring that every tally is 100% accurate and bank-ready.
  • Streamlined Batching: Use the Batch Function to easily set precise note quantities for strapping, preparing bank deposits, or creating cash register floats.

"Bank-Grade" Durability for High-Volume Hubs

Semacon is renowned for building rugged hardware that withstands the rigors of multi-shift commercial use:

  • Heavy-Duty Internal Construction: At 15 lbs, the S-1225 features a robust chassis and industrial rollers designed for continuous, heavy-duty operation and "street-quality" currency.
  • High-Capacity Feed System: The generous 200–300 note hopper supports continuous counting sessions, reducing the frequency of reloads during large-scale reconciliation.
  • Compact Workspace Integration: With dimensions of $10.5" \times 9.75" \times 9.5"$, the S-1225 provides professional power without occupying excessive counter space in busy vault rooms.
  • Universal Power Supply: Supporting 115–230V, this unit is ready for global use and adaptable to various professional electrical standards.

1. Does a regular bill counter tell me the total dollar value?

No. A standard bill counter counts the number of pieces (quantity), not the denomination. For example, if you put in ten $5 bills and ten $20 bills, the machine will tell you there are "20 bills." You must pre-sort your money by denomination to calculate the total value. (If you need the machine to automatically calculate value for mixed stacks, check out our Currency Discriminators.)

2. How does the machine detect fake money?
Standard counters use two primary methods:

UV (Ultraviolet): It checks the paper’s reaction to UV light. Real US currency paper does not glow, but many counterfeit papers do.
MG (Magnetic): It scans for the magnetic ink used in the printing of authentic currency.

3. Can I count items other than currency?s.

Many of our regular bill counters can count other paper items of similar size, such as vouchers, tickets, or coupons, provided they fall within the machine's thickness and size specification

4. What is the "Batch" function used for?

The Batch function is a favorite for retail managers. It allows you to preset a number (like 25, 50, or 100). The machine will count exactly that many bills and then pause, allowing you to remove the stack and put a rubber band or paper strap around it for a bank deposit.

5. Why is my counter "double-feeding" or "jamming"?

This usually happens for one of three reasons:

Thickness Adjustment: There is a small tension screw on the back. If your bills are very new (thin) or very old (thick), you may need to adjust it slightly.
Dirty Sensors: Dust from paper currency can coat the sensors. A quick blast of compressed air usually fixes this.
Poor Loading: Ensure the bills are squared up and placed flat into the hopper for the smoothest feed.
