Semacon S-1615V – Professional Ultra High-Speed Value Counter (1,800 BPM)

The Semacon S-1615V is the definitive professional-grade machine for businesses, banks, and institutions demanding instant value calculation alongside ultra-high-speed processing. This system efficiently calculates the precise total monetary value of mixed denomination bills, eliminating manual errors and drastically streamlining complex cash-handling operations. Known for Semacon’s legendary "Bank-Grade" durability, the S-1615V is the premium choice for multi-currency processing in the most demanding environments.

Instant Value Intelligence & Multi-Currency Power

The S-1615V is engineered to revolutionize back-office workflows by combining the intelligence of a value discriminator with the raw power of an industrial counter:

  • Automated Mixed Value Counting: Stop wasting time on manual presorting. Simply place an unsorted stack of currency into the machine, and the S-1615V instantly provides the final, accurate dollar total and a detailed breakdown by denomination.
  • Unmatched 1,800 BPM Velocity: Choose from four selectable counting speeds (up to 1,800 notes/min). This extraordinary top speed allows you to process massive cash volumes in a fraction of the time required by standard value counters.
  • Multi-Currency Compatibility: Designed for international banking and global commerce, the S-1615V can be configured to count and value various global banknotes, providing essential flexibility for diverse financial operations.
  • Precision Error Detection: Advanced sensors identify double bills, half notes, and chain notes immediately, ensuring the highest level of count integrity even at maximum throughput.
  • Optional UV/MG Security: Customize your protection with optional Ultraviolet (UV) and Magnetic (MG) sensors to safeguard against fraudulent currency while maintaining high-speed operation.

"Bank-Grade" Durability for High-Volume Hubs

Semacon is world-renowned for building rugged hardware that survives the rigors of 24/7 commercial operations:

  • Industrial-Strength Build: At 14 lbs, the S-1615V features a robust internal chassis and heavy-duty rollers designed to handle "street-quality" currency that is worn, folded, or crumpled.
  • High-Capacity 400-Note Hopper: The expansive front-loading hopper supports continuous counting sessions—critical for processing bulk deposits and optimizing staff productivity.
  • Compact Professional Integration: With dimensions of $10.5" \times 11.5" \times 9.75"$, this machine provides professional-grade power without occupying excessive counter space in busy vault rooms.
  • 1-Year Manufacturer Warranty: Every S-1615V is backed by a solid one-year warranty, reflecting Semacon’s commitment to long-term reliability and professional performance.

1. Does a regular bill counter tell me the total dollar value?

No. A standard bill counter counts the number of pieces (quantity), not the denomination. For example, if you put in ten $5 bills and ten $20 bills, the machine will tell you there are "20 bills." You must pre-sort your money by denomination to calculate the total value. (If you need the machine to automatically calculate value for mixed stacks, check out our Currency Discriminators.)

2. How does the machine detect fake money?
Standard counters use two primary methods:

UV (Ultraviolet): It checks the paper’s reaction to UV light. Real US currency paper does not glow, but many counterfeit papers do.
MG (Magnetic): It scans for the magnetic ink used in the printing of authentic currency.

3. Can I count items other than currency?s.

Many of our regular bill counters can count other paper items of similar size, such as vouchers, tickets, or coupons, provided they fall within the machine's thickness and size specification

4. What is the "Batch" function used for?

The Batch function is a favorite for retail managers. It allows you to preset a number (like 25, 50, or 100). The machine will count exactly that many bills and then pause, allowing you to remove the stack and put a rubber band or paper strap around it for a bank deposit.

5. Why is my counter "double-feeding" or "jamming"?

This usually happens for one of three reasons:

Thickness Adjustment: There is a small tension screw on the back. If your bills are very new (thin) or very old (thick), you may need to adjust it slightly.
Dirty Sensors: Dust from paper currency can coat the sensors. A quick blast of compressed air usually fixes this.
Poor Loading: Ensure the bills are squared up and placed flat into the hopper for the smoothest feed.
