The Formax AP3 Monochrome Digital Address Printer is a high-performance solution designed to streamline high-volume addressing needs. Capable of printing up to 26,000 #10 envelopes per hour, this mid-range printer is ideal for large organizations, universities, and businesses that require high-speed, high-quality on-demand printing.
Dual Print Banks for Maximum Efficiency
With dual print banks and variable print resolutions up to 600 DPI, the AP3 printer offers superior print quality on coated and uncoated media, including UV-coated stocks. Its advanced thermal inkjet technology ensures reliable and crisp prints on a wide variety of materials.
User-Friendly Touchscreen Control
The AP3 comes equipped with a 4.5” color touchscreen with an adjustable backlight, providing easy access to key functions such as storing and recalling common print jobs. With up to 16GB of storage, this printer can handle multiple job types, ensuring a seamless user experience for repetitive print tasks.
Enhanced Media Handling
Designed for high-volume printing, the integrated feeder accommodates up to 500 #10 envelopes at a time and supports media up to 3/8” thickness. The printer’s two independent 1.5” print heads utilize 6 thermal inkjet cartridges simultaneously, producing an image area of up to 3” x 17” with available overlap, and can be adjusted for a maximum vertical print range of 11”.
On-Screen Ink Monitoring & Connectivity
The AP3 printer includes on-screen ink monitoring to track percentage used and the approximate number of pieces remaining. It also offers USB 3.0/LAN connectivity for fast data transfer and integration with existing networks. The printer is compatible with TrueType fonts, supports spot color printing, and includes batch/job/lifetime counters for efficient print job tracking.
Optional Conveyor Stacker for Easy Post-Printing Handling
An optional 3-foot conveyor stacker is available, allowing for easy sorting and stacking of printed materials, which improves workflow and productivity.
