The Cassida 6600 UV Bill Value Counter is the definitive solution for professional cash operations that demand both high-speed accuracy and true value counting. Engineered for handling mixed denominations, the 6600 UV automatically calculates the total monetary value of a stack, significantly enhancing efficiency in banking, retail, and any high-volume cash environment.

Key Benefits & Ideal Users

The primary advantage of the 6600 UV is its Value Counting capability. Instead of simply counting notes, the machine automatically recognizes the denomination of each bill, providing an accurate, dollar-for-dollar total for mixed batches. This feature eliminates manual calculation errors and drastically reduces cash reconciliation time.

Adding a layer of security, the unit utilizes reliable UV (Ultraviolet) Counterfeit Detection, instantly identifying fake or suspicious bills by checking embedded security features. Coupled with its high-speed processing, the 6600 UV guarantees both speed and financial integrity.

Ideal for:

  • Financial Institutions (Tellers/Vaults): For quickly verifying and totaling customer deposits containing mixed denominations.
  • Large Retailers & Restaurants: To rapidly reconcile multiple cash drawers at the end of a shift with maximum accuracy.
  • Businesses Handling Mixed Cash: Anywhere that calculating the exact monetary value, not just the note count, is essential.

Use Cases: Precision and Productivity

  1. Mixed-Batch Totaling: Simply place a mixed stack of bills (e.g., twenties, tens, fives) into the machine, and receive an immediate, accurate dollar total, dramatically speeding up deposit preparation.
  2. Organized Bundling: Use the Batch Function to preset or customize specific cash quantities for easy bundling, such as preparing an $800 float for a cash register or creating equal deposit stacks.
  3. Security Assurance: Every bill is subject to the UV counterfeit check during counting, ensuring all currency being processed is genuine and protecting the business from loss.
  4. Optimal Workflow: The large hopper and stacker capacity support continuous, uninterrupted operation, reducing the need for frequent reloading and allowing the compact machine to seamlessly manage high-volume tasks.

1. Does a regular bill counter tell me the total dollar value?

No. A standard bill counter counts the number of pieces (quantity), not the denomination. For example, if you put in ten $5 bills and ten $20 bills, the machine will tell you there are "20 bills." You must pre-sort your money by denomination to calculate the total value. (If you need the machine to automatically calculate value for mixed stacks, check out our Currency Discriminators.)

2. How does the machine detect fake money?
Standard counters use two primary methods:

UV (Ultraviolet): It checks the paper’s reaction to UV light. Real US currency paper does not glow, but many counterfeit papers do.
MG (Magnetic): It scans for the magnetic ink used in the printing of authentic currency.

3. Can I count items other than currency?s.

Many of our regular bill counters can count other paper items of similar size, such as vouchers, tickets, or coupons, provided they fall within the machine's thickness and size specification

4. What is the "Batch" function used for?

The Batch function is a favorite for retail managers. It allows you to preset a number (like 25, 50, or 100). The machine will count exactly that many bills and then pause, allowing you to remove the stack and put a rubber band or paper strap around it for a bank deposit.

5. Why is my counter "double-feeding" or "jamming"?

This usually happens for one of three reasons:

Thickness Adjustment: There is a small tension screw on the back. If your bills are very new (thin) or very old (thick), you may need to adjust it slightly.
Dirty Sensors: Dust from paper currency can coat the sensors. A quick blast of compressed air usually fixes this.
Poor Loading: Ensure the bills are squared up and placed flat into the hopper for the smoothest feed.
