The Cassida Tiger UV and MG Money Counter is a high-performance, compact currency counting solution built for businesses that prioritize speed, security, and accuracy. Designed for continuous use in retail, banking, and cash handling centers, the Tiger UV streamlines currency management with rapid processing, reliable UV counterfeit detection, and a user-friendly design perfect for any professional workspace.
Key Benefits & Ideal Users
The Cassida Tiger UV dramatically improves operational efficiency by processing up to 1,300 notes per minute. This exceptional speed ensures quick end-of-day reconciliation and deposit preparation, allowing staff to complete cash handling tasks faster and move on to value-added activities.
Security is maintained through integrated UV (Ultraviolet) and MG (Magnetic) Counterfeit Detection. This system automatically checks for the UV security features embedded in banknotes, instantly identifying and alerting the operator to suspicious bills and protecting the business from financial loss.
Ideal for:
- Retail Stores (Boutiques/Mid-Size): Where quick, reliable counting is needed and space is limited.
- Small Business Offices: For accurate expense tracking and deposit preparation.
- Cafes and Food Service: Businesses with medium to high daily cash volume requiring fast processing and basic security checks.
Use Cases: Smooth, High-Volume Cash Handling
- Rapid Reconciliation: Utilize the 1,300 notes/min speed to verify cash totals from multiple registers quickly and accurately, eliminating human error from manual counting.
- Efficient Batching: The Batch Function allows for the pre-setting of specific cash quantities, making it easy to organize bills for bank deposits or create starting floats for cash drawers.
- Continuous Operation: The generous 250-note hopper and 250-note stacker capacity work together to minimize interruptions, supporting high-volume cash processing without constant reloading.
- Space-Saving Setup: With a compact design of $10" \times 10.4" \times 5.4"$ and a light weight of $8.3\text{ lbs}$, the Tiger UV fits comfortably on busy counters or in small back offices, making it incredibly versatile.

1. Does a regular bill counter tell me the total dollar value?
No. A standard bill counter counts the number of pieces (quantity), not the denomination. For example, if you put in ten $5 bills and ten $20 bills, the machine will tell you there are "20 bills." You must pre-sort your money by denomination to calculate the total value. (If you need the machine to automatically calculate value for mixed stacks, check out our Currency Discriminators.)
2. How does the machine detect fake money?
Standard counters use two primary methods:
UV (Ultraviolet): It checks the paper’s reaction to UV light. Real US currency paper does not glow, but many counterfeit papers do.
MG (Magnetic): It scans for the magnetic ink used in the printing of authentic currency.
3. Can I count items other than currency?s.
Many of our regular bill counters can count other paper items of similar size, such as vouchers, tickets, or coupons, provided they fall within the machine's thickness and size specification
4. What is the "Batch" function used for?
The Batch function is a favorite for retail managers. It allows you to preset a number (like 25, 50, or 100). The machine will count exactly that many bills and then pause, allowing you to remove the stack and put a rubber band or paper strap around it for a bank deposit.
5. Why is my counter "double-feeding" or "jamming"?
This usually happens for one of three reasons:
Thickness Adjustment: There is a small tension screw on the back. If your bills are very new (thin) or very old (thick), you may need to adjust it slightly.
Dirty Sensors: Dust from paper currency can coat the sensors. A quick blast of compressed air usually fixes this.
Poor Loading: Ensure the bills are squared up and placed flat into the hopper for the smoothest feed.
