Semacon S-1625 – Professional High-Speed Counter with UV & MG Detection
In high-volume cash environments, speed and security are paramount. The Semacon S-1625 is engineered to meet these demands, offering exceptional efficiency and reliability for processing large quantities of banknotes. Designed by Semacon, a leader in financial equipment, the S-1625 is an essential tool for streamlining cash management operations and protecting your assets from fraud. Built with "Bank-Grade" durability, this machine is the definitive choice for businesses that require non-stop, secure throughput.
Elite Throughput & Dual-Layer Security
The S-1625 is designed to eliminate back-office bottlenecks by combining the fastest mechanical counting engine with an advanced electronic defense system:
- Industry-Leading 1,800 BPM Velocity: Tailor your performance with four selectable counting speeds: 1,000, 1,200, 1,500, or a staggering 1,800 notes per minute. This top speed allows you to process massive cash batches in a fraction of the time required by standard machines.
- Integrated UV & MG Fraud Defense: Protect your bottom line with simultaneous screening of every banknote:
- UV (Ultraviolet): Scans for authentic security threads and paper markers.
- MG (Magnetic): Verifies the presence of specialized magnetic ink patterns found in genuine currency.
- Precision Counting & Error Detection: Sophisticated sensors guarantee precise counting and utilize advanced technology to spot irregularities like double bills, half notes, or chained notes, ensuring your tallies are always bank-ready.
- High-Capacity 400-Note Hopper: The generous hopper capacity supports continuous counting sessions, drastically reducing reloads during large deposit preparations.
"Bank-Grade" Engineering for Industrial Reliability
Semacon is world-renowned for building rugged hardware that survives the rigors of 24/7 commercial operations:
- Heavy-Duty Build Quality: Weighing 14 lbs, the S-1625 features a robust internal chassis and industrial rollers designed to handle "street-quality" currency that is worn or heavily circulated.
- Compact Workspace Integration: With dimensions of $10.5" \times 11.5" \times 9.75"$, this machine provides professional-grade power without occupying excessive counter space in busy vault rooms or retail offices.
- Intuitive Operator Interface: A user-friendly digital display and simple controls ensure that any staff member can operate the machine with 100% accuracy and minimal training.
- 1-Year Manufacturer Warranty: Every S-1625 is backed by a solid one-year warranty, reflecting Semacon’s commitment to long-term reliability and professional performance.

Money Counters

1. Does a regular bill counter tell me the total dollar value?
No. A standard bill counter counts the number of pieces (quantity), not the denomination. For example, if you put in ten $5 bills and ten $20 bills, the machine will tell you there are "20 bills." You must pre-sort your money by denomination to calculate the total value. (If you need the machine to automatically calculate value for mixed stacks, check out our Currency Discriminators.)
2. How does the machine detect fake money?
Standard counters use two primary methods:
UV (Ultraviolet): It checks the paper’s reaction to UV light. Real US currency paper does not glow, but many counterfeit papers do.
MG (Magnetic): It scans for the magnetic ink used in the printing of authentic currency.
3. Can I count items other than currency?s.
Many of our regular bill counters can count other paper items of similar size, such as vouchers, tickets, or coupons, provided they fall within the machine's thickness and size specification
4. What is the "Batch" function used for?
The Batch function is a favorite for retail managers. It allows you to preset a number (like 25, 50, or 100). The machine will count exactly that many bills and then pause, allowing you to remove the stack and put a rubber band or paper strap around it for a bank deposit.
5. Why is my counter "double-feeding" or "jamming"?
This usually happens for one of three reasons:
Thickness Adjustment: There is a small tension screw on the back. If your bills are very new (thin) or very old (thick), you may need to adjust it slightly.
Dirty Sensors: Dust from paper currency can coat the sensors. A quick blast of compressed air usually fixes this.
Poor Loading: Ensure the bills are squared up and placed flat into the hopper for the smoothest feed.
