Combining swift counting with advanced, multi-layered counterfeit detection, the CR500 is the powerful solution for modern retail, banking, and business operations that prioritize secure and efficient cash management.

Key Benefits & Ideal Applications

The FedPro CR500 offers three selectable counting speeds up to 1,500 notes per minute, allowing you to optimize throughput based on the condition of your bills. This top-tier performance drastically reduces the time spent on manual cash reconciliation, boosting daily productivity.

Security is the cornerstone of the CR500. It utilizes four comprehensive counterfeit detection methods: MG (Magnetic), UV (Ultraviolet), IR (Infrared), and thickness analysis. This robust security matrix ensures that suspect bills are identified instantly, protecting your business from financial loss. The machine also features accurate note detection to identify common errors like chained, double, or half notes.

Ideal for:

  • Banks and Credit Unions: For reliable, high-security processing of large, sensitive cash volumes.
  • High-End Retail/Jewelry Stores: Where security and fraud prevention are critical priorities.
  • Cash Centers and Financial Back Offices: Requiring complex counting functions (ADD and Batch modes) and data connectivity.

Use Cases: Secure, Streamlined Cash Processing

  1. Multi-Layered Security: Deploy the CR500 at the front or back office to ensure every incoming bill passes the combination of IR, MG, UV, and thickness checks, offering peace of mind against advanced counterfeits.
  2. Flexible Workflows: Utilize the ADD function to accumulate totals from multiple runs or the Batch function to prepare specific cash quantities, fitting seamlessly into various cash handling routines.
  3. Modern Integration: The USB, RS232, and SD Card interfaces allow for easy software updates and potential integration with existing cash management systems or external displays, keeping the CR500 future-proof.
  4. Quiet, Efficient Operation: Operating at a quiet <60 dB noise level, this machine performs its high-speed tasks without disrupting the quiet environment of a teller window or office.

1. Does a regular bill counter tell me the total dollar value?

No. A standard bill counter counts the number of pieces (quantity), not the denomination. For example, if you put in ten $5 bills and ten $20 bills, the machine will tell you there are "20 bills." You must pre-sort your money by denomination to calculate the total value. (If you need the machine to automatically calculate value for mixed stacks, check out our Currency Discriminators.)

2. How does the machine detect fake money?
Standard counters use two primary methods:

UV (Ultraviolet): It checks the paper’s reaction to UV light. Real US currency paper does not glow, but many counterfeit papers do.
MG (Magnetic): It scans for the magnetic ink used in the printing of authentic currency.

3. Can I count items other than currency?s.

Many of our regular bill counters can count other paper items of similar size, such as vouchers, tickets, or coupons, provided they fall within the machine's thickness and size specification

4. What is the "Batch" function used for?

The Batch function is a favorite for retail managers. It allows you to preset a number (like 25, 50, or 100). The machine will count exactly that many bills and then pause, allowing you to remove the stack and put a rubber band or paper strap around it for a bank deposit.

5. Why is my counter "double-feeding" or "jamming"?

This usually happens for one of three reasons:

Thickness Adjustment: There is a small tension screw on the back. If your bills are very new (thin) or very old (thick), you may need to adjust it slightly.
Dirty Sensors: Dust from paper currency can coat the sensors. A quick blast of compressed air usually fixes this.
Poor Loading: Ensure the bills are squared up and placed flat into the hopper for the smoothest feed.
