The Hitachi iH-210F is a top-tier cash management solution engineered for high-volume environments like banks, credit unions, casinos, and large retail centers. As a state-of-the-art currency counting machine, it goes beyond simple counting by providing reliable fitness sorting and robust multi-currency discrimination, ensuring both speed and security in your daily operations.

Key Benefits & Use Cases

1. Uncompromising Banknote Fitness Sorting

The iH-210F's core strength is its ability to automatically sort banknotes based on their condition, a critical process for high-standard cash centers. It detects and removes damaged or unfit notes that would typically be rejected by financial institutions.

  • Benefit: Ensures compliance for bank deposits, streamlines cash recycling, and minimizes manual quality checks.
  • Criteria: Automatically identifies and sorts out bills with issues such as holes, tears, tape, stains, folds, dog-ears, and graffiti.

2. High-Speed, Non-Stop Efficiency

Engineered for maximum throughput, the Hitachi iH-210F boasts a remarkable counting speed of up to 1,200 notes per minute. The spacious 1,000-note hopper ensures long periods of uninterrupted counting.

  • Dual Stacker System: The two output stackers, each holding 300 notes, allow you to continuously sort mixed denominations or separate different bill qualities without pausing.
  • Large Reject Pocket: A generous 200-note reject pocket efficiently isolates counterfeit or damaged currency, maintaining high operational speed and minimal downtime.

3. Advanced Security and Multi-Currency Versatility

This machine provides ultimate asset protection through an integrated, multi-layered counterfeit detection system, including CIS, MG, FL, IR, and UV sensors. It provides full-image analysis for absolute accuracy. Furthermore, its multi-currency support for USD plus 32 other world currencies makes it the indispensable cash counter for international businesses and currency exchanges handling mixed bills.

1. What is the difference between a bill counter and a currency discriminator?

A standard bill counter is a "piece counter"—it tells you how many pieces of paper went through. A currency discriminator is a "value counter"—it uses digital eyes (CIS) to look at the bill, identify if it’s a $20 or a $100, and give you a total monetary value.

2. Is a currency discriminator better at catching fakes than a cheap counter?

Yes. Standard counters usually only check for magnetic ink or UV glow. Discriminators use Image Recognition, meaning they compare the actual artwork and security features of the bill against a high-resolution database. This is the only reliable way to catch "supernotes" or bleached bills (e.g., a $1 bill reprinted to look like a $100).

3. What does "1+1 Pocket" or "2-Pocket" mean?

This is one of the most searched terms.

  • A 1-Pocket machine stops and beeps every time it finds a suspect or "unfit" bill.
  • A 2-Pocket (1+1) machine has a separate Reject Pocket. It sends suspect bills to the top pocket while the main count continues without stopping. This is essential for high-volume environments.

4. Can currency discriminators count international money?

Most modern discriminators come with "Multi-Currency" modes. Because they rely on image scanning, they can be programmed to recognize the distinct designs of Euros, Canadian Dollars, British Pounds, and Mexican Pesos, often handling them all in the same stack.

5. Why is my discriminator giving a "CIS Error"?

This is usually a sign that the "eyes" of the machine are dirty. Cash is incredibly dusty; we recommend using cleaning cards or a microfiber cloth weekly to wipe the sensors. If the sensors are blocked by dust, the machine can't "see" the bill to identify it.
