The Kisan DR. NEWTON Currency Counter represents the next generation of cash handling technology, combining standard, accurate bill counting with integrated UV-C sterilization technology. In today's environment, where hygiene and staff safety are paramount, this compact machine offers a critical layer of protection by actively neutralizing viruses and bacteria present on banknotes. It is the perfect solution for financial institutions, retailers, and any business where cash frequently changes hands.

Unprecedented Banknote Hygiene and Safety

The standout feature of the DR. NEWTON is its powerful sterilization system. It is equipped with 30 UV-C LED lights (15 positioned on each side) that bombard banknotes as they are processed. UV-C light is scientifically proven to kill up to 99.9% of bacteria and viruses, ensuring that the cash your staff handles is significantly cleaner and safer.

Core Benefit: By sterilizing currency during the counting process, the DR. NEWTON protects tellers and retail staff from pathogens transmitted via dirty cash, promoting a healthier work environment and bolstering customer trust in your hygiene protocols.

Efficient, Compact, and User-Friendly

Despite its advanced sterilization capability, the DR. NEWTON remains a highly efficient cash management tool. It features a reliable one-pocket design with dual security shutters for contained and secure cash flow. The counting speed is adjustable across 5 settings (1 to 5 notes per second), allowing the user to optimize processing speed based on the banknote condition or operational need. It easily handles mixed banknote sizes up to 174 x 80 mm.

With a lightweight and portable design (3.9 kg), the counter is easily placed and moved, making it suitable for back-office desks, teller windows, and mobile cash handling stations. Simple operation and a modest 100-note hopper/stacker capacity make it ideal for quick, end-of-day reconciliation.

Ideal Users and Use Cases

The Kisan DR. NEWTON is essential for any establishment focused on modern safety standards:

  • Financial Institutions: Deploy at teller windows to assure staff that deposited cash is being disinfected.
  • Retail & Hospitality: Use at main checkouts, pharmacies, or restaurants where quick, clean cash processing is necessary.
  • Small Businesses: A cost-effective way to implement advanced hygiene without sacrificing counting accuracy.

1. What is the difference between a bill counter and a currency discriminator?

A standard bill counter is a "piece counter"—it tells you how many pieces of paper went through. A currency discriminator is a "value counter"—it uses digital eyes (CIS) to look at the bill, identify if it’s a $20 or a $100, and give you a total monetary value.

2. Is a currency discriminator better at catching fakes than a cheap counter?

Yes. Standard counters usually only check for magnetic ink or UV glow. Discriminators use Image Recognition, meaning they compare the actual artwork and security features of the bill against a high-resolution database. This is the only reliable way to catch "supernotes" or bleached bills (e.g., a $1 bill reprinted to look like a $100).

3. What does "1+1 Pocket" or "2-Pocket" mean?

This is one of the most searched terms.

  • A 1-Pocket machine stops and beeps every time it finds a suspect or "unfit" bill.
  • A 2-Pocket (1+1) machine has a separate Reject Pocket. It sends suspect bills to the top pocket while the main count continues without stopping. This is essential for high-volume environments.

4. Can currency discriminators count international money?

Most modern discriminators come with "Multi-Currency" modes. Because they rely on image scanning, they can be programmed to recognize the distinct designs of Euros, Canadian Dollars, British Pounds, and Mexican Pesos, often handling them all in the same stack.

5. Why is my discriminator giving a "CIS Error"?

This is usually a sign that the "eyes" of the machine are dirty. Cash is incredibly dusty; we recommend using cleaning cards or a microfiber cloth weekly to wipe the sensors. If the sensors are blocked by dust, the machine can't "see" the bill to identify it.
