The Kisan K5-A sets the standard for advanced cash processing, combining the speed of a high-volume counter with the sophisticated multi-level sorting of a dedicated bank machine. This premium 4+1 pocket currency discriminator is designed for extreme efficiency in the most demanding financial and large commercial environments, ensuring fast, accurate, and secure management of mixed currency and denominations.

Unmatched Efficiency with 5-Pocket Sorting

The Kisan K5-A’s core innovation is its 4+1 pocket system (Four output pockets plus one Reject pocket). This configuration allows for complex, simultaneous sorting in a single pass at an incredible 1,000 notes per minute.

  • Benefit: The machine can sort by Currency, Denomination, Face, Orientation, and Fitness all at once. This multi-level sorting capability dramatically reduces the number of passes required, transforming multi-hour processing jobs into streamlined, continuous operations.
  • Capacity: The generous 1,000-note hopper ensures high feeding capacity, while the dedicated 100-note reject pocket keeps suspect or unfit bills isolated without ever interrupting the main count.

Global Versatility and Ultimate Security

The K5-A is built for global preparedness, offering extensive support for up to 48 world currencies with smart Auto/Mix modes for effortless processing of mixed deposits. Security is paramount, delivered by an advanced, multi-channel sensor package: Dual CIS (Contact Image Sensor), 18-channel MG (Magnetic), 21-channel US (Ultrasonic), UV, and IR. This comprehensive defense system provides absolute assurance against counterfeits.

Despite its powerful capabilities, the K5-A maintains a surprisingly compact desktop design (Dimensions: 13.3" x 22.6" x 16.3"), allowing high-end performance even in limited back-office spaces. Operations are managed via an intuitive 7" touch panel, providing real-time feedback and control.

Ideal Users and Applications

The K5-A is the ideal investment for organizations where processing speed and sorting accuracy are non-negotiable:

  • Bank Cash Centers: Essential for rapid, multi-level sorting of high volumes of cash and ensuring notes are fit for ATM recirculation.
  • Large Retail Banks: Ideal for back-office operations where high-volume processing of mixed customer deposits is required.
  • Cash-In-Transit (CIT) Firms: Used for efficient reconciliation and sorting of large, unsorted cash logistics.

The K5-A also supports seamless data integration via LAN, USB, and the KBMS Network Solution, making it a future-proof cornerstone for any modern cash management infrastructure.

1. What is the difference between a bill counter and a currency discriminator?

A standard bill counter is a "piece counter"—it tells you how many pieces of paper went through. A currency discriminator is a "value counter"—it uses digital eyes (CIS) to look at the bill, identify if it’s a $20 or a $100, and give you a total monetary value.

2. Is a currency discriminator better at catching fakes than a cheap counter?

Yes. Standard counters usually only check for magnetic ink or UV glow. Discriminators use Image Recognition, meaning they compare the actual artwork and security features of the bill against a high-resolution database. This is the only reliable way to catch "supernotes" or bleached bills (e.g., a $1 bill reprinted to look like a $100).

3. What does "1+1 Pocket" or "2-Pocket" mean?

This is one of the most searched terms.

  • A 1-Pocket machine stops and beeps every time it finds a suspect or "unfit" bill.
  • A 2-Pocket (1+1) machine has a separate Reject Pocket. It sends suspect bills to the top pocket while the main count continues without stopping. This is essential for high-volume environments.

4. Can currency discriminators count international money?

Most modern discriminators come with "Multi-Currency" modes. Because they rely on image scanning, they can be programmed to recognize the distinct designs of Euros, Canadian Dollars, British Pounds, and Mexican Pesos, often handling them all in the same stack.

5. Why is my discriminator giving a "CIS Error"?

This is usually a sign that the "eyes" of the machine are dirty. Cash is incredibly dusty; we recommend using cleaning cards or a microfiber cloth weekly to wipe the sensors. If the sensors are blocked by dust, the machine can't "see" the bill to identify it.
