LIDIX ML-2VS-F Mixed Currency Discriminator & Fitness Sorter

The LIDIX ML-2VS-F is a professional-grade mixed currency discriminator designed for high-speed, high-security cash processing. Built for banks, financial institutions, and high-volume retail environments, the ML-2VS-F goes beyond basic counting by offering integrated fitness sorting. This 2-pocket system allows for continuous, uninterrupted operation by instantly isolating suspect or damaged bills, ensuring your cash flow is accurate, secure, and ready for recirculation.

High-Performance Features for Secure Cash Handling

  • Professional Banknote Fitness Sorting: Maintain the highest quality standards for your cash inventory. The ML-2VS-F automatically detects and sorts out bills with holes, tears, dog-ears, tape, soil, stains, and graffiti, ensuring only ATM-quality "fit" notes remain in your count.
  • Elite Multi-Currency Discrimination: Effortlessly process multiple currencies and denominations simultaneously. The advanced mixed-bill mode recognizes currencies automatically, providing a detailed value breakdown without the need for manual pre-sorting.
  • Industry-Leading Processing Speeds: Maximize throughput with adjustable counting speeds ranging from 1,200 to 1,500 notes per minute. This high-speed performance makes it one of the most efficient fitness sorters in its class.
  • Advanced 5-Point Counterfeit Detection: Protect your business from financial loss with a comprehensive sensor suite, including UV, MG, MT, IR, and FL. This multi-layered authentication system rejects fake bills instantly, diverting them to the dedicated reject pocket.
  • Optimized 2-Pocket Workflow: Featuring a dual-stacker design, the ML-2VS-F keeps your operations moving. "Unfit" or suspect notes are diverted to the reject pocket without stopping the machine, allowing for a truly continuous counting process.

The advanced fitness sorting on this Lidix ML-2VF has been a game-changer for our vault, separating ATM-quality bills from soiled cash in a single pass.

1. What is the difference between a bill counter and a currency discriminator?

A standard bill counter is a "piece counter"—it tells you how many pieces of paper went through. A currency discriminator is a "value counter"—it uses digital eyes (CIS) to look at the bill, identify if it’s a $20 or a $100, and give you a total monetary value.

2. Is a currency discriminator better at catching fakes than a cheap counter?

Yes. Standard counters usually only check for magnetic ink or UV glow. Discriminators use Image Recognition, meaning they compare the actual artwork and security features of the bill against a high-resolution database. This is the only reliable way to catch "supernotes" or bleached bills (e.g., a $1 bill reprinted to look like a $100).

3. What does "1+1 Pocket" or "2-Pocket" mean?

This is one of the most searched terms.

  • A 1-Pocket machine stops and beeps every time it finds a suspect or "unfit" bill.
  • A 2-Pocket (1+1) machine has a separate Reject Pocket. It sends suspect bills to the top pocket while the main count continues without stopping. This is essential for high-volume environments.

4. Can currency discriminators count international money?

Most modern discriminators come with "Multi-Currency" modes. Because they rely on image scanning, they can be programmed to recognize the distinct designs of Euros, Canadian Dollars, British Pounds, and Mexican Pesos, often handling them all in the same stack.

5. Why is my discriminator giving a "CIS Error"?

This is usually a sign that the "eyes" of the machine are dirty. Cash is incredibly dusty; we recommend using cleaning cards or a microfiber cloth weekly to wipe the sensors. If the sensors are blocked by dust, the machine can't "see" the bill to identify it.
