The Semacon S-1025 Currency Counter is a high-performance solution engineered for businesses, banks, and retail operations that demand speed, accuracy, and dual-layer security. This machine efficiently manages your cash flow by combining fast processing with advanced UV and MG counterfeit detection and comprehensive batch processing capabilities in a compact, durable unit.

Key Benefits & Ideal Users

The S-1025 delivers high productivity by counting up to 900 bills per minute. This high speed, combined with its precision engineering, minimizes counting errors and ensures quick and reliable reconciliation, leading to immediate gains in operational efficiency.

Security is paramount with the integrated UV (Ultraviolet) and MG (Magnetic) counterfeit detection systems. This dual-sensor technology screens every bill simultaneously, automatically verifying UV security threads and magnetic ink, providing robust protection against fraudulent banknotes.

Ideal for:

  • Retail Stores (Small to Mid-Size): Businesses needing efficient daily cash processing with essential protection against common counterfeits.
  • Banking Environments: Back-office or teller applications requiring secure, reliable counting in a space-conscious design.
  • General Offices: Any environment that handles moderate cash volumes and requires verifiable accuracy and security assurance.

Use Cases: Secure and Organized Cash Flow

  1. Fast Daily Reconciliation: Utilize the 900 bills/min speed to quickly verify cash totals at the end of a shift, ensuring precision and minimizing labor time.
  2. Dual-Check Fraud Defense: The simultaneous UV and MG detection ensures that all currency processed is screened for key security features, offering greater protection than single-sensor machines.
  3. Efficient Batch Preparation: The integrated Batch Function allows operators to easily set a specific note quantity. This streamlines the process of preparing cash register floats or creating organized bundles for bank deposits.
  4. Compact Workflow Integration: The machine's space-saving design ($9" \times 11.5" \times 5.5"$) and durable build make it perfect for environments where counter space is limited, ensuring continuous, reliable use without taking up valuable real estate.

1. Does a regular bill counter tell me the total dollar value?

No. A standard bill counter counts the number of pieces (quantity), not the denomination. For example, if you put in ten $5 bills and ten $20 bills, the machine will tell you there are "20 bills." You must pre-sort your money by denomination to calculate the total value. (If you need the machine to automatically calculate value for mixed stacks, check out our Currency Discriminators.)

2. How does the machine detect fake money?
Standard counters use two primary methods:

UV (Ultraviolet): It checks the paper’s reaction to UV light. Real US currency paper does not glow, but many counterfeit papers do.
MG (Magnetic): It scans for the magnetic ink used in the printing of authentic currency.

3. Can I count items other than currency?s.

Many of our regular bill counters can count other paper items of similar size, such as vouchers, tickets, or coupons, provided they fall within the machine's thickness and size specification

4. What is the "Batch" function used for?

The Batch function is a favorite for retail managers. It allows you to preset a number (like 25, 50, or 100). The machine will count exactly that many bills and then pause, allowing you to remove the stack and put a rubber band or paper strap around it for a bank deposit.

5. Why is my counter "double-feeding" or "jamming"?

This usually happens for one of three reasons:

Thickness Adjustment: There is a small tension screw on the back. If your bills are very new (thin) or very old (thick), you may need to adjust it slightly.
Dirty Sensors: Dust from paper currency can coat the sensors. A quick blast of compressed air usually fixes this.
Poor Loading: Ensure the bills are squared up and placed flat into the hopper for the smoothest feed.
