Semacon S-1025 – Professional Dual-Security Bill Counter (UV & MG)

The Semacon S-1025 is a high-performance solution engineered for businesses, banks, and retail operations that demand speed, accuracy, and dual-layer security. This machine efficiently manages your cash flow by combining fast processing with advanced UV and MG counterfeit detection. Known for Semacon’s legendary industrial durability, the S-1025 provides a secure, compact workflow for environments where verifiable accuracy is a top priority.

Precision Performance & Dual-Sensor Defense

The S-1025 is built to eliminate human error and protect your bottom line by merging high-speed counting with sophisticated detection technology:

  • Dual-Check Fraud Defense: Unlike basic counters, the S-1025 screens every bill simultaneously using two distinct layers of protection:
    • UV (Ultraviolet): Verifies the authentic security threads and paper properties of genuine currency.
    • MG (Magnetic): Scans for specialized magnetic ink patterns required for bank-grade verification.
  • High-Speed Productivity: Process cash at a rapid rate of up to 900 bills per minute. This high velocity ensures quick reconciliation, allowing staff to focus on customer service rather than manual counting.
  • Verified Counting Accuracy: Precision-engineered sensors detect double, half, and chain notes, ensuring that your final tally is 100% accurate and bank-ready.
  • Intelligent Batching: Use the Batch Function to preset specific note quantities. This streamlines the process of preparing cash register floats or creating organized bundles for bank deposits.

Compact "Bank-Grade" Engineering

Semacon is renowned for its rugged, heavy-duty construction, and the S-1025 brings that industrial strength to your countertop:

  • Space-Saving Workflow: With compact dimensions ($9" \times 11.5" \times 5.5"$), the S-1025 fits easily onto crowded retail counters or small back-office desks where space is at a premium.
  • Industrial-Strength Durability: Despite its portable $10\text{ lb}$ weight, the S-1025 is constructed with high-quality components designed for long-term, reliable use in commercial environments.
  • Universal Power Supply: Supporting 115–230V, this unit is ready for use in any professional environment, providing consistent performance across various power standards.
  • Intuitive Operator Interface: A high-visibility display and simple controls ensure that any employee can operate the machine with zero training and absolute confidence.

1. Does a regular bill counter tell me the total dollar value?

No. A standard bill counter counts the number of pieces (quantity), not the denomination. For example, if you put in ten $5 bills and ten $20 bills, the machine will tell you there are "20 bills." You must pre-sort your money by denomination to calculate the total value. (If you need the machine to automatically calculate value for mixed stacks, check out our Currency Discriminators.)

2. How does the machine detect fake money?
Standard counters use two primary methods:

UV (Ultraviolet): It checks the paper’s reaction to UV light. Real US currency paper does not glow, but many counterfeit papers do.
MG (Magnetic): It scans for the magnetic ink used in the printing of authentic currency.

3. Can I count items other than currency?s.

Many of our regular bill counters can count other paper items of similar size, such as vouchers, tickets, or coupons, provided they fall within the machine's thickness and size specification

4. What is the "Batch" function used for?

The Batch function is a favorite for retail managers. It allows you to preset a number (like 25, 50, or 100). The machine will count exactly that many bills and then pause, allowing you to remove the stack and put a rubber band or paper strap around it for a bank deposit.

5. Why is my counter "double-feeding" or "jamming"?

This usually happens for one of three reasons:

Thickness Adjustment: There is a small tension screw on the back. If your bills are very new (thin) or very old (thick), you may need to adjust it slightly.
Dirty Sensors: Dust from paper currency can coat the sensors. A quick blast of compressed air usually fixes this.
Poor Loading: Ensure the bills are squared up and placed flat into the hopper for the smoothest feed.
